Research Assistant to Coordinate FOUNDCOG Project
The team of the FOUNDCOG project will use an MRI scanner to examine the development of the infant brain. We will recruit parents from the community, some of whom have infants that have spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit. This post will maintain the team's records, assist with the recruitment parents, and coordinate scanning sessions.

Standard Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and secure records of parents and our contact with them
- Arranging scanning sessions, by booking the MRI facility and coordinating with the parents and the research team
- Recruiting parents in a professional, respectful and sensitive way
- Other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the team
- Maintaining communication with the public and advocacy groups and organising outreach events
Salary and Benefits
- Appointment will be made at the IUA Research Assistant scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€21,459 to €25,838 per annum], appointment will be made no higher than level 1, point 7.
- Benefits include a pension contribution and PRSI social insurance.
- 5 years, fixed-term part time, 7-20 hours per week with flexibility in working pattern.
